BRISBANE IT titan Technology One’s vision of an “iconic” new home has become a little clearer, with its shortlist whittled down to four possible sites — or its current home.
Chief financial officer Tony Ristevski said he expected the process, being run by Faction Consulting, to be completed by early next year.
The shortlist is:
● Lendlease’s timber office building at 25 Kings St, RNA Showgrounds.
● JGL Properties’ site at the Jubilee Hotel’s car park on St Pauls Terrace.
● Charter Hall/John Holland’s 11 Breakfast Creek Rd tower.
● Alceon’s campus-style Hamilton Northshore development at 240 Macarthur Ave.
The company, which has a 12,500sq m requirement in the market, could also elect to stay put at the Cromwell Property Group-owned HQ North tower at 540 Wickham St, Fortitude Valley.
Mr Ristevski said each option offered different qualities.
“They all have a unique iconic statement, and each has its pros and cons,” he said.
“We are also giving ourselves enough runway to do a dual process by talking to the market, and also the talking to the incumbent landlord Cromwell, and we expect to make a decision early in the calendar year.”
Meanwhile, Charter Hall has revealed its revamped plans for its 11 Breakfast Creek tower.
Head of office development Andrew Borger said the focus was on technology, workplace agility and staff wellbeing.
“We’ve modified the design and approval to what we believe will be Brisbane’s leading technology-enabling building and workplace of the future,” he said.
“Some of the technology features include smartphones for retina verification in lifts, car recognition for car park access, smart metering through the entire building, public wi-fi and mobility infrastructure for any part of the building.”
