National developer Urbex has started construction of its 204-lot development, The Banks, at Logan Reserve.

A developer is banking on population growth in a southeast Queensland corridor to sell its new 204-lot development, as work begins in one of southeast Queensland’s fastest-growing areas.

BRISBANE-based developer Urbex has started construction on stage one of its 204-lot development The Banks in one of southeast Queensland’s fastest-growing areas.

The first stage of the 19.42ha development at 370 Logan Reserve Rd, Logan Reserve, is for sale with available lots between 352sq m to 509sq m.

Positioned alongside the Logan River and across the road from Logan Reserve State School,

The Banks is 38km from Brisbane, 6.5km from the Logan Motorway and minutes from shopping precincts.

Urbex — a wholly owned subsidiary of BMD Group controlled by the Power family — paid $8.2 million in 2017 for the former private harness racing facility site.

Urbex project director Geoff Burn said the location was the biggest drawcard for the developer.

“The Banks is located right in the middle of Logan’s growth corridor, between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Residents will be an easy 35 to 45-minute drive between the two main cities,” he said.

“As a residential development company, our focus is to create an affordable living environment and community for families to enjoy, and a big part of that is proximity to the essentials such as schools, transport corridors and employment opportunities.

“The Banks hits the mark on these prerequisites.”
