WORK will start in April on the first stage of Aura Holdings retirement village within the Indooroopilly Golf Course.
Somerset Indooroopilly was launched last night and interest is already high in the latest development by the Queensland-based retirement village provider and operator.

Somerset will have 168 two or three-bedroom apartments and four-bedroom penthouses set across four low-rise buildings.
Construction will start on in April on the Meiers Rd site, with completion expected in June next year.
The high-end village — only 7km from Brisbane’s CBD — is named after the original homestead, Somerset, that was built around 1900 by district pioneer Henry Thomas on a site that is now part of the golf course.
Aura Holdings’ director Tim Russell said the project had struck a chord with club members. “It’s on a course and in a suburb that so many people know and love,’’ he said.
“Club members don’t want to move away from the area when they retire. And what’s not to love living among like-minded friends when you can just open your front door and head right out onto such beautiful greens.
“It doesn’t get much better than actually living on one of Brisbane’s most hallowed courses.’’
Residents will be able to share a range of high-end community facilities including a pool and spa, gymnasium, wine room, library, private dining room, outdoor barbecue areas, with a hairdresser and consultation suites for allied health professionals.
Golfers will appreciate the addition of their own golf club storage and 30 undercover parking spaces for buggies.
