WORK has started on a $121 million masterplanned community in Brisbane’s south eastern suburbs that will house almost 500 people.
Condev Construction will build Frasers Property Australia’s Minnippi Quarter project on a 5.2ha site at 179-193 Fursden Rd, Carina, which the developer bought from Cobbity Farm Bakeries in 2018 for $27.75 million.
Minnippi Quarter consists of 172 boutique terrace homes, 20 land lots and extensive amenities and is scheduled for completion in early 2022.
It is expected to be home to 480 people once finished and the construction at its peak will employ 200 to 250 workers.
Condev Construction managing director Steve Marais said starting work on the development was a major win for the company as it expands its workbook in the state’s capital.
“We are thrilled to be involved in such a prestigious project that boasts a great combination of land, terrace home product and outstanding amenities in a highly sought-after area,” he said.
Featuring a 25m lap pool with an infinity edge overlooking the green space and a gymnasium with parkland views, the terrace homes offer a mixture of two, three and four-bedroom configurations.
Bordering Minnippi Parklands, 25 per cent of the community will be dedicated to green space and resident amenity, optimising lifestyle, privacy and relaxation.
