“The group offers wealth creation and management services through a team of over 40 financial and property professionals. Adding an industrial platform to the business allows us to offer a full compliment of services to our valued clients,” he says.

Norris says he and Costello recently left Ray White Commercial after an internal restructure there saw that business heading in a direction that: “Wasn’t quite in line with our experience and aspirations.”

K2 Private Property boss Stuart Moody says the industrial division was a natural evolution of the property business established with David Jackson of Keystone Private.

“For owners, developers and tenants this makes perfect sense,” he said.

“We now provide the full spectrum from site identification, acquisition or disposals of single assets or portfolios, leasing, value-added transactions and advisory.

World design award

A QUEENSLAND technology company which has developed a remote-controlled load management system to improve safety in crane operations on construction sites and other workplaces has been honoured with an international design award.

Verton Australia, based at Milton, won the engineering category at the 61st annual Good Design Awards for its R-Series, a load management system which eliminates the need for human held taglines to control suspended loads.

The system is available in various models and is able to handle loads of up to 20 tonnes.

Verton chief executive Trevor Bourne says the Good Design Award caps off a massive year so far for Verton and the R-Series, which is attracting worldwide interest from transport, construction, renewable energy and mining companies around the globe.

“This award is a tribute to the vision of Verton’s founder and the R-Series inventor, Chief Technology Officer Stanley Thomson, and all of our hardworking management and staff,” he says.

“The R-Series is manufactured in Brisbane and we would particularly like to thank the Queensland Government’s Business Development Fund (BDF) for their support.”
