Australian dollar higher on US weakness

THE Australian dollar has strengthened to 93.38 US cents against a weaker greenback.

THE Australian dollar has strengthened against a weaker greenback.

At 0630 AEST on Thursday, the local currency was trading at 93.38 US cents, up from 93.32 cents on Wednesday.

BK Asset Management managing director Boris Schlossberg said investors sold the US dollar, taking profits as we near the end of August.
