The new store is a “Woolworths 3.0” and has sourced over 100 products from local producers, according to the company.
Among features at the new Woolworths Lutwyche are a deli with fresh seafood and cured meats, a bakery with artisan breads and a range of stone-baked products and a wholefoods market with certified organic products.
“We’re pleased to be able to offer a convenient new store for our local customers that makes grocery shopping easy,” store manager Antoinette Salerno said.
“The store has been designed to showcase the wonderful seasonality of our produce which will provide further food inspiration for our customers to create amazing feasts this Christmas.”
Christmas decorations have already been installed at the store ahead of its launch.
In addition, the store has special pick-up parking bays for “store-to-boot” orders made online.
The new store is part of a $55 million rejuvenation of the Lutwyche City shopping centre, which saw the food court relocated, new stores opened and the centre’s exterior renovated.
Woolworths Lutwyche City will open at 8am tomorrow.
