The Gold Coast’s Hope Island is set for a major new residential complex, with 26 luxury villas to be developed around the Links Hope Island resort-style golf course.
Sized from 217sq m to 270sq m, the two and three-level villas, which are yet to hit the market, are priced from $900,000 to $1.75m.
Developer GH Australia, a division of Hong Kong’s Golden Horse group, has purchased a 7936sq m site located around the golf course, where it plans to develop the villas beside the resort’s waterway.
The villas, which are yet to be launched, also include storage areas for private motorised golf carts.
Contemporary three-level villas – spanning 260sq m with parking for two cars – will feature private garden views as well as rooftop recreational and entertainment terraces.
Plans are also being prepared for a major upgrade and remodelling of the Links clubhouse, adding a wellness centre.
Known as Saffron at Links, the residential development will be next to the main Links clubhouse facilities, on the last remaining waterside location within Hope Island Resort.
GH Australia said that following a soft launch, more than half of the inquiries were from Gold Coast locals wanting to buy into the new development ahead of the reopening of Queensland’s borders, which is expected on December 17.
GH Australia director Ellen Guan said the master plan for the site would meet the needs of an emerging market with an interest in “making health and wellbeing an important part of their lifestyle”.
“Links Hope Island is already among the best leisure facilities of its kind in the country and our plans will cement the golf course and clubhouse precinct as the premium leisure, recreation, golf and wellbeing place to call home on the Gold Coast,” she said.
GH Australia has also developed The Gallery, a residential precinct at the Hope Island Resort.
GH Australia has owned the Links Hope Island golf course and surrounding development land since 2014.
The company also owns the Noosa Springs Golf and Spa Resort, and Park Sydney, a masterplanned community in Erskineville, near Sydney’s CBD.
