A NSW tradie has been filmed delivering a foul-mouthed tirade after claiming a barber left him with a wonky haircut — only to insist on paying before storming out.
Viral footage of the incident in regional NSW over the weekend has sparked debate, with some sympathising and defending the customer as a “good bloke” and others saying he went too far.
“How the f**k are you going to come two different f**king angles, mate?” the tradie is heard loudly berating the barber in the video.
The customer, wearing hi-vis and workboots, points angrily at his visibly off-centre buzz cut.
“Look at that — is that straight, d**khead?” he yells.
“Is it straight, mate? Is that f**king straight, mate, or is one back here and one over f**king here? F**king use your head, c**t.”
The barber offers to let him leave with no charge but the man refuses.
“Hurry up, I’m paying for the f**king thing,” he says. “You did your job.”
The clip has racked up 300,000 views and hundreds of comments since Sunday.
“Good bloke, he’s unhappy but still paid. What’s the issue?” one person wrote.
“He didn’t like how it was cut but still paid. He’s a good guy,” another agreed.
A third wrote, “He’s a great bloke for doing that, they did do the job but (he claims) they did it wrong, so he paid for it and left. Now they lose him as a customer... good on him.”
Other readers chimed in with claims of “nightmare” experiences at barbers.“Imagine being the guy going next,” one person joked.
Several people expressed respect for the man for speaking up about a bad haircut.
“I’m the guy who sits in the chair and nods when the barber goes around with the mirror at the end,” one said.
“Deep inside you know they cooked you but you still have to fake smile,” another laughed.
Some viewers defended the barber.
“My son gets his hair done there all the time and has no problems,” one woman wrote.
Others said the man’s outburst was inappropriate.
One person claimed he “escalated so unreasonably in this situation”, while another argued he “could have handled it better”.
“Old mate didn’t need to make a scene and have a blow-up inside the shop,” a third wrote.
Another commented, “Good bloke? Abuse people and he’s a good bloke … right.”
Attempts to reach the barber shop by phone were unsuccessful on Monday morning.
