FUNNYMAN Steve Harvey may have blown the Miss Universe pageant — but he still had his sense of humour on Thursday as he tweeted a photo of himself chomping a cigar and flashing a peace sign with message, “Merry Easter y’all!”
The Family Feud host’s gaffe at the Vegas pageant last Sunday — mistakenly crowning Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez the winner instead of Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach — stoked a firestorm of memes on social media.
“You’re Miss Universe! And you’re Miss Universe! Everyone is Miss Universe!” read one over a photo of Oprah Winfrey laughing.
But the jeers turned to cheers after Harvey’s Christmas Day post on Facebook and Twitter showing him smoking a fat stogie while standing outside what appeared to be his holiday-decorated mansion.

“As if I didn’t already love Steve Harvey enough ... his caption just made me love him more,” Alyssa Shouse wrote on Twitter.
“The rest of you can meme all you want. Steve Harvey won 2015,” tweeted ESPN’s J.A. Adande.
“@IAmSteveHarvey might have bungled #MissUniverse, but he just won Easter — err, Christmas,” added Angela Morabito.
Harvey’s screw-up — which some speculated was a self-serving publicity stunt — didn’t hurt him with pageant officials either.
Harvey will return as host in 2016, and also inked a multiyear deal with the organisation.
