"As industries continue to adjust to the ‘new normal’, video creation has become an essential part of business marketing activities, with organisations looking to continually create and distribute new and engaging content across various platforms,” Mr Dreiling said.

The company this week appointed former Amazon executive Benjamin Gauthey as vice president of global strategy and business development.

Clipchamp was founded in 2014 by Mr Dreiling, Soeren Balko, David Hewitt and Tobi Raub, and its flagship and core tool, Clipchamp Create, was launched in 2018.

The company has raised nearly $US11 million ($A17 million) in equity funding to date.
