Sentinel Property Group boss Warren ‘The Property Whisperer’ Ebert has been spotted around the Brisbane CBD riding an e-scooter wearing his customary three-piece business suit.
The property guru has been using his own e-scooter to travel to the Sentinel office in Queen St and go to business meetings for the past three years, and he would have to be one of the best dressed scooter riders in the city.
“I am always in a suit and while it can get a little hot in the summer you get a nice breeze moving around on the scooter,” Ebert says.
The Sentinel CEO turned heads when he arrived on his e-scooter last year to attend a property conference in Brisbane.
The question Citybeat asks itself is how many other corporate titans scooter around the CBD.
Ebert says he’s proud to be doing his bit for the environment by commuting on an e-scooter, with Sentinel last year recognised by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Actions Platforms, a global registry of initiatives which supports the UN’s commitment to end poverty and tackle climate change.
He wears an SDG badge on his lapel.
The UN encourages governments and other organisations to register their actions accelerating the implementation of its SDGs, which aim to improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth while tackling climate change and working to preserve the world’s oceans and forests.

Queensland alcoholic seltzer brand Hard FIZZ say they’ve been headhunted by golfing bigwigs to be an official supplier for the BMW Australian PGA Championship, to be held at the Royal Queensland Golf Club, next month.
It follows the success of the brand’s presence at the rival LIV Golf event in Adelaide, where owner and frontman, DJ FISHER, performed ‘shoeys’ with some of the biggest names in the sport – including Greg Norman, Cameron Smith and Ian Poulter.
Hard FIZZ was approached by the PGA to get involved in their tournament, in Brisbane, hoping to achieve similar fanfare.
“We can’t wait – the PGA Championship is in our home state of Queensland so it’s a real thrill to be involved,” says CEO Wade Tiller.
“We received a call (from the PGA) and asked if we’d consider coming on-board as a supplier; but we understand it’s more than just drinks that we’d be bringing to the party, so to speak – it’s the whole vibe.”
Hard FIZZ will have a dedicated bar at what’s sure to be the popular Party Hole on the 17th. The brand sold some 40,000 cans at the LIV Golf event in April.
Taiwan ties
Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner, Labor minister Leeanne Enoch, Opposition multicultural spokesman JP Langbroek and Logan Mayor Jon Raven were among the pollies who attended celebrations for the 113th National Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan) this week. As well as Taiwanese delicacies, the event at SunPAC at Sunnybank attracted local dignitaries, business partners and Taiwanese community leaders who heard about the substantial relationship between Taiwan and Brisbane from William Fan, the director general of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office Brisbane.
Fan says trade between Queensland and the island remains strong with burgeoning critical minerals, encompassing solar panels, storage batteries, green energy and hydrogen of particular interest.
