“Talk to the Mac has traded in Cairns for a long time,” Mr Kelly said.

“We are still finding our feet about it, we are looking at the assets and what is owned to creditors.

“The staff have been terminated and we will be selling off the assets.”

He said customers waiting for repairs through Talk to The Mac will be contacted to make “suitable arrangements for their products.”

Mr Kelly said the retailer appeared to be a victim of COVID and a changing industry.

“People can buy devices online or through a discount retailer for a cheaper price,” he said.

“Now these stores are becoming more like repair shops.”
