Police investigate after man killed while lying on the road, driver in shock
A man was reportedly lying on the road when a 4WD drive hit him in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

A man was killed after he was run over by a car while lying on a road in Brisbane’s south in the early hours of the morning.
The car was travelling on Hotz Road at Logan Village about 4.4am Wednesday when it struck the man, who was already prostrate on the surface of the road.
Queensland Police said the driver of the car, which they said was a 4WD, rendered assistance to the man and contacted police, however he died at the scene.
“The Forensic Crash Unit has begun investigations into the incident and are appealing for dashcam or any witnesses,” Police said.
They said Hotz Rd is closed between Bobermien Rd and Gayle Ct.
It is believed the driver of the car was taken to Logan Hospital for shock.
It takes Queensland’s road toll in 2023 so to 66.
