A worker has been seriously injured when his legs became trapped in machinery in an industrial accident at an Adelaide warehouse.

Emergency crews took several hours to free the man, aged in his 50s, after the horrific accident at the plastics recycling plant on Monday afternoon.

Paramedics have taken him to Royal Adelaide Hospital. He’s understood to be in a serious condition.

Fire, SES and ambulance worked to free the man at Recycling Plastics Australia at Blackburn St, Kilburn this afternoon.

Safe Work South Australia is at the scene and will investigate.
