Man in custody after gruesome alleged stabbing on Gold Coast

Police have taken a man into custody following a gruesome alleged stabbing on an early morning on the Gold Coast.

A man in his 30s has been taken into custody after the gruesome alleged stabbing of another man on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Goodwin Terrace at Burleigh Heads at 5.45am on Monday.

The victim, in his 40s, suffered serious injuries to his head and hands.

He was rushed by paramedics to Gold Coast University hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police and ambulance services were seen crowded around the public toilets near the well known Burleigh Pavilion.

Investigations are ongoing.
