Two Aussie battlers are now multi-millionaires after winning $20m in Tuesday night’s Oz Lotto draw.
The NSW couple – who won the only division one entry ticket from the 1485 draw – took home approximately $20,034,030.85.
In a heartwarming response, the Southern Tablelands players said they were no longer Aussie battlers.
“I‘m in tears mate. Every time I think I’m okay, the waterworks kick off again,” the husband said.
“I don‘t even know what to do with myself.”
“We’ve always been Aussie battlers. Not anymore, though, I guess.”
The married couple recalled dropping into the store at First Inland City Newsagency on Wednesday morning to check their ticket when a team member gave them a “shocked look”.
“I dropped into the store this morning to check my ticket and the team member gave me a shocked look,” he said.
“He said, ‘you might need to sit down, mate’.”
The pair, who are extremely family-orientated said they plan to line the pockets of their families.
“I can’t wait to share it with my family. I’ll set everyone up and make sure they don’t have to worry about anything.” they said.
The couple jokingly said they might not make it back into the office to resign after their life changing win.
“Retirement is beckoning. I’m not sure if we’ll actually make it back into work at this rate.” they said.
“We might just run away!”
The lucky winners golden numbers included 22, 42, 38, 33, 27, 23, 39, while the supplementary numbers were 4 and 37 and 20.
The chances of winning division one in Oz Lotto, based on one standard game, are 1 in 62,891,499.
