Charges laid after 5mo suffers ‘significant internal injuries’
A baby girl remains in hospital two months after she was found unconscious with breathing difficulties and having suffered a heart attack.

A woman has been charged after a two-month investigation into critical injuries suffered by a five-month-old baby.
Queensland Police were called to an address in the northern Gold Coast suburb of Coomera just before 2.30pm on February 1 after the girl was found unconscious, suffering breathing difficulties and having had a heart attack.
She was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition, where testing confirmed she had suffered significant internal injuries.
The girl is still receiving treatment in hospital.
Detectives from the Gold Coast District Child Protection and Investigation Unit formed “Operation Victor Sector” to investigate.
They have charged a 23-year-old Sunnybank Hills woman with grievous bodily harm.
She appeared in Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday, and is due back on June 6.
