The Crows will face Melbourne next weekend in an AFLW semi-final after thumping St Kilda 8.12 (60) to 2.4 (16) at Norwood. For the Saints, it’s the end of an encouraging season, with much to look forward to in 2026.

Saints on the board
The Saints have back-to-back goals here in the third term at Norwood, but still trail by 20 points.
After a goalless first half, Georgia Patrikios and Jesse Wardlaw have converted, giving the visitors some hope.
Finals shake-up: Clubs expect AFL wildcard round in 2026
By Peter Ryan
Clubs are expecting the AFL to introduce a wildcard round in 2026, giving teams that finish as low as 10th on the ladder after the home-and-away season a chance to qualify for finals and win the flag.
The wildcard round would mean the team that finishes seventh on the ladder in the home-and-away season would play the team that finished 10th, and the team that finished eighth would play the ninth-placed team.
It would add intrigue to where clubs finish inside the top eight too, as the top six would be rewarded with the week’s break.

The winners would then advance to the finals under the same final eight system as has been in place since 2000.
Here’s a stat which reinforces the Crows’ dominance - 88 per cent of the play in the last 10 minutes of the term was in their attacking half of the ground, per the AFL.
At half-time, the Crows lead 4.5 (29) to 0.1 (1).
Crows go bang
In the shadows of half-time, the Crows have a stranglehold on this contest, India Rasheed drilling another for the home team, the lead extending to 28 points. Massive trouble for the Saints.

Crows build (match-winning) momentum ...
The Saints are under enormous pressure, that reinforced when a miskick from the goal square is marked by Zoe Prowse, who converts the set shot from about 20m. The Crows lead 23-1.

Here’s why the Crows are dominating
The Crows have scored four times from their 10 forward-half intercepts, but the Saints have been unable to convert any of their six forward half intercepts into scores, per the AFL.
However, they are finally on the scoreboard, with just over 11 minutes remaining in the second term. Jaimee Lambert has kicked a behind.
