Leongatha Hospital doctor Chris Webster gave evidence in the murder trial of Erin Patterson. After the trial, he spoke about treating Heather Wilkinson, whose last words to Webster before an ambulance took her to Melbourne were: “Thank you for looking after me.” Webster says: “I knew that she was going off to her death.” Heather died in hospital, as did Don and Gail Patterson. An out-of-control silver hatchback driven by a 91-year-old woman veered off the road and struck a two-year-old child and his grandparents before crashing through a fence and into Coleman Road Reserve Playground in Wantirna South on Thursday. Epworth hospital staff and patients were shocked and outraged after rumours that Elwood the cat had been catnapped. The unofficial hospital mascot has been hanging around the hospital for years, but went missing for almost a week. It emerged that the missing 14-year-old feline had not been run over, nor locked in someone’s shed, but was stolen, and then sold on Facebook marketplace for $150.
