Worker injured, trapped after manhole fall in Brisbane's north
A man who had fallen four metres down a manhole at a Nundah work site has been taken to hospital after emergency services worked to recue the him for more than one hour.
Queensland Ambulance Service are on scene following reports of a patient, believed to be in his 50s, with a lower leg injury reportedly trapped in a hole at 12.48pm at Union Street.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokewoman said four crews were at the site trying to rescue the person just before 2pm.
"They haven't been able to get the person out just yet but they are assisting QAS," she said.
More than one hour after the incident happened, the man was taken to Royal Brisbane Hospital in a stable condition.
