Woman ambushed at QUT campus, forced to give violent carjackers a lift
Police have identified two persons of interest after a woman was ambushed in a Brisbane university carpark, forced to drive two carjackers across the city and punched in the head during the ordeal.
Police have released images of two women who detectives want to question.
About 9.45pm on Saturday, a 33-year-old woman was approached by two other women in a carpark at the Queensland University of Technology Gardens Point campus and asked for a lift.
Police said they jumped into the woman's car without permission and told her to drive them to Hurworth Street in Bowen Hills.
Upon arrival, one carjacker got out while the other told the victim she had a knife, punched her repeatedly in the head and demanded the car keys, police said.
The victim handed over the keys and ran away before the carjacker unsuccessfully tried to drive the woman's car away.
The victim suffered bruising and swelling to her cheek and eye.
Both attackers fled on foot.
Police want to speak to a blonde woman wearing a red jumper who was caught on CCTV catching a train on the Redcliffe line at Bowen Hills train station and another woman who was seen with the blonde woman.
