Teenager tied up, beaten for two days at Sunshine Coast campsite

After being tied up and beaten at a Sunshine Coast campsite, a teenager managed to break free and flag down a passing driver on a nearby road, ending his two-day ordeal.

Three people have been charged with a string of offences after the 19-year-old man arrived at Noosa Hospital with injuries to his face, arms, legs and feet.

The victim managed to escape from the bushland campsite near Eenie Creek in Noosaville about 5am on Sunday and flagged down a passing car.

Police allege he was restrained, repeatedly beaten and had his life threatened by a trio of captors.

The accused trio knew the victim and the man's injuries were not life-threatening, police said.

A 16-year-old girl and 19-year-old man have been charged with deprivation of liberty and assault occasioning bodily harm.

A 48-year-old man has been charged with deprivation of liberty, assault occasioning bodily harm, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing drug paraphernalia and possessing tainted property.

They were all set to face Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday.
