Skateboarder fights for life after Gold Coast crash
A skateboarder is fighting for his life after he collided with a car on the Gold Coast on Monday evening.
The 33-year-old was travelling on an electric-powered skateboard along the southbound shoulder of Robina Parkway when the crash happened about 10.30pm.
The skateboarder, who was not wearing a helmet, sustained a serious head injury and was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
Police on scene asked members of the public who might have seen the skateboarder in the area before the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
The Forensic Crash Unit was investigating.
