Man stabbed at luxury home identified as police theory emerges
By William Davis
Police are investigating whether a man found stabbed to death in the front garden of his multimillion-dollar home had disrupted a break-and-enter before he was killed.
The 57-year-old has been identified as Zdravko Bilic. He is the husband of HÜD Skin + Body founder Gry Susann Tomte.
A neighbour found the body about 7.30pm on Monday in the Sunshine Coast suburb of Warana.

Tomte – who was away at the time – had asked the neighbour to scope out her home on Napalle Street after not hearing from Bilic for some time.
Police are now investigating the possibility the attack may have occurred as early as 11pm on Sunday – about 20 hours before the body was found.
“We have a number of pieces of information we’re following through,” Detective Inspector Chris Toohey said on Tuesday afternoon.

“One of the lines of inquiry is he has disturbed a break-and-enter,” Toohey said.
“He was a valued member of the community … he is a community-minded person that was well-loved in the area.”

Property records show the house where the man was found is owned by Bilic and Tomte, who bought it in December 2021 for $2.5 million.
Tomte is the founder and director of skincare company HÜD Skin + Body, according to LinkedIn.
The property remains a crime scene, as homicide officers investigate as part of Operation X-ray Elting.
Anyone with information or CCTV footage from the area is urged to contact police.
“We’re asking anyone with any assistance they may be able to provide or knowledge of this incident to come forward,” Toohey said.
“The timeline we are looking at here is between Sunday night at 11pm to 7pm on Monday.”
He confirmed Tomte had spoken with police.
“As you can imagine, it’s an extremely difficult time, but the community are coming around her and doing as much as they can for her at this time,” Toohey said.
