The man reportedly resisted the demands and was restrained by security before becoming unresponsive.

He was given CPR but died at the scene.

Police have declared a crime scene and are investigating.

Anyone with information or footage is urged to contact police.

Multiple high-profile deaths at bars and nightclubs have occurred in south-east Queensland.

In June 2003, 27-year-old David John Coddington died of a brain haemorrhage after he was reportedly kicked by a security guard at Morningside in Brisbane’s east.

The security guard was found guilty of manslaughter but the conviction was later quashed.

William Amaya died after being restrained by security outside Toowong’s Royal Exchange Hotel on May 20, 2006. The guards were found not guilty of manslaughter in 2009.

Two bouncers were also convicted but later acquitted over the death of Terii Tararo outside Fisherman’s Wharf Tavern at Main Beach on May 18, 2008.
