A man is fighting for life after becoming trapped in his car during a multi-vehicle crash in Brisbane.

At least three cars collided before 3pm on Monday at the Depot Road and Gateway Motorway intersection in Deagon.

The Queensland Fire Department reported as many as five vehicles were involved.

A man in his 20s had to be cut out of his car, and was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a life-threatening condition.

Six people were treated by paramedics on the scene, with three taken to hospital.

Fire crews left the scene before 5pm. Queensland Traffic was not reporting major delays.
