Major highway shut after crash, one in hospital

Queensland’s Bruce Highway is closed in both directions after a serious crash on the Sunshine Coast.

Emergency services were called to the scene near Cooroy about 5.20pm on Thursday.

Bruce Highway closed after crash.

One person was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with minor injuries.

A stretch of the highway remains closed in both directions. Diversions are in place.

Six days ago on the same highway, further north in Bororen, a utility driver was killed when a chemical container exploded causing fires and major traffic delays.
