Housemate of Pheobe Bishop released without charge after police questioning
A housemate of missing Bundaberg teenager Pheobe Bishop has been released from custody without charge, after being questioned by police for hours on Wednesday.
Police confirmed a 34-year-old man was in custody on Wednesday assisting officers with questions related to Pheobe’s disappearance.
Pheobe had been living in a home in Gin Gin – about 45 kilometres south-west of Bundaberg – with two adults, including 34-year-old James Wood, before she disappeared on May 15 on her way to Bundaberg airport.

Shortly after 7.30am on Thursday, police said the man had been released without charge, as officers continued “to run through several lines of inquiry”.
Police said officers would resume physical searches for Pheobe if needed, after they suspended extensive searches of bushland around Gin Gin late last week.
Officers had previously declared the home Pheobe had lived in with Wood and another adult, and Wood’s grey Hyundai ix35, crime scenes shortly after the teenager was declared missing.
Investigators urged anyone with information related to the ongoing investigation to come forward and contact police.
