The opening of the 312-room was originally set for March 15 but was pushed back to June 1.
The opening marks the return to the Australian market for W Hotels Worldwide, as part of Marriott International.
Marriott International Asia-Pacific luxury brands and marketing vice-president Bruce Ryde said the company chose Brisbane for brand’s return because it was a “dream destination” with year-round sun.
“Brisbane’s bustling riverbank is a hot spot for travellers who can’t wait to explore this dynamic city and south-east Queensland, a perfect match for W Hotels’ bold design and playful, contemporary approach to luxury,” he said.

W Sydney and W Melbourne are scheduled to open in 2020.
The rooms all feature a 55-inch LED TV, Bluetooth speakers and a fully equipped bar.
Interior designer Nic Graham and Associates designed custom furnishings as part of the hotel design with the hotel working to a theme of “a river dreaming” because of its location on the river.
The 34-storey tower has two bars, including a resort-style pool bar and a state-of-the-art gym and day spa.
