That's a wrap for today's Brisbane Times coronavirus blog. We'll be back to bring you the latest developments tomorrow.
Here's a recap of what happened today:
- There were two more cases added to Queensland's COVID-19 tally, both of whom recently returned form overseas.
- That brought Queensland's tally to 1057. Of those, 1038 have recovered and six have died.
- Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says Queensland's borders could remain closed until September, following advice from the state's Chief Health Officer, Jeannette Young, that NSW and Victoria need to "get their problems sorted" before we considered opening the doors. It's a position that has drawn criticism from NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian.
- State Health Minister Steven Miles says it's a "miracle" nobody else has tested positive at a Rockhampton aged care centre, after an infected nurse worked there while sick.
- Australia looks set for a major victory on the international stage, with a motion calling for an international coronavirus inquiry set to pass the World Health Assembly tonight.
