Bushfire flares in south-east's Currumbin Valley

A bushfire has flared up in the Currumbin Valley in south-east Queensland, near the NSW border.
The fire is burning north towards Currumbin Creek Road near the Eden Health Retreat.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services are attending the bushfire and issued an advice-level alert on Sunday morning.
People may be affected by smoke in the area, but properties are not under direct threat.
Residents have been advised to monitor the situation.
