Brisbane father rescues baby before gunman steals Mercedes-Benz
A father grabbed his baby from his Mercedes-Benz before a gun-wielding robber stole the car overnight.
Police said the carjacker had crashed another car in Ascot earlier in the evening before threatening a man at gunpoint to hand over his keys in nearby Yabba Street.
That man refused, saying he didn't have his keys on him.
The gunman then threatened a second man on nearby Kitchener Road about 7.40pm.
The victim grabbed his baby from the car, a Mercedes-Benz with registration AMG 211, moments before the offender stole it.
The carjacker has a tattoo across his throat, two black circle earrings, with hair shaved on one side and a rat's tail. He was wearing a shirt with a dragon emblem.
