What’s within 10 kilometres of your home in Sydney?

By Mark Stehle and Richard Lama

The NSW government has announced a number of new restrictions that will come into effect from midnight on Wednesday.

Under the restrictions, residents must stay within their local government area to go shopping or stay within a 10-kilometre radius of their place of residence or temporary accommodation, if the place is within another local government area, unless the item is unavailable locally.

It brings the lockdown restrictions for shopping in line with the rules for outdoor recreation, which already mandate that people can only exercise within a 10-kilometre radius of their home or within their local government area.

These restrictions apply to residents across Greater Sydney including the Central Coast, Blue Mountains, Wollongong and Shellharbour.

Please note the tool can struggle to locate your place on long roads so sometimes picking the nearest cross-street might give a more accurate guide.
