Enchanted Garden to light up Roma Street Parkland with possum magic

By Jocelyn Garcia

Twinkling lights, intricate holograms and dazzling lasers are returning to Roma Street Parkland for The Enchanted Garden light show.

“The Enchanted Garden is a family favourite that always sells out in record time, bringing thousands of residents to the city to celebrate the holidays,” Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said.

Explorers will help a mischievous possum on a journey to find a crystal heart and restore harmony to the world, in a one-kilometre self-guided trail that takes up to 40 minutes.

Session times are between 6.30pm and 9pm and food trucks and a licensed bar will be open from 5pm daily at Celebration Lawn.

The Enchanted Garden, running from November 23 to December 20, was a highlight of the Christmas in Brisbane program, Schrinner said.

“Christmas is the best time to be in Brisbane and our program definitely brings the festive spirit, while staying affordable for families,” he said.

“This year we are thrilled to add even more sessions to the program, so there are even more opportunities to enjoy the ultimate light display at Roma Street Parkland.”

The Enchanted Garden tickets: $9 a person; $7 child under 13; free for children aged two or younger. Family of four $30, family of five $36. To book, visit the website here.
