It is unclear at this stage whether the case one of the nine positive COVID-19 cases already reported by NSW Health.

"The member has not been at the club since Friday, 10 July and is in quarantine," a statement from Planet Fitness said. "Additionally, our team members are in self-quarantine as instructed by their doctor, as a precaution because of contact with the patient.

"Currently, the team members are reporting no symptoms."

On Sunday, NSW Health reported four more people who had tested positive for COVID-19 at the Crossroads Hotel which pushed the cluster to nine.

The four new cases include a teenager who worked at the hotel on several days including July 3, a close contact of the worker in her 50s, a local diner in her 40s and a Victorian diner in his 20s.

NSW Health is urging anyone who attended the hotel from July 3 to July 10 to immediately self-isolate for 14 days.

“While investigations are continuing, it is vital people get tested so we can try and establish the source of infection at the hotel,” NSW chief health officer Dr Kerry Chant said.

Planet Fitness Casula said on Sunday afternoon they were closed indefinitely at this point due to the positive case.

It is unclear at this stage whether the case is related to the pub outbreak, which has since reported nine positive COVID-19 cases.

"Please keep in mind that this is an evolving situation and we encourage you to consult your health professional for any individual questions," the statement read.
