Queenslanders have officially voted to increase MPs' three-year terms in parliament to four and to have a fixed election date, the state's attorney-general says.
Yvette D'Ath says the Electoral Commission is set to declare the four-year fixed term referendum, held last month, with the final results showing 51 per cent voted yes and 46 per cent voted no.
"So the referendum will be declared in favour of the four-year fixed term," Ms D'Ath told ABC Radio on Tuesday.
