How would you describe your style? Simple but effective.

What’s the oldest thing in your wardrobe? I have a lot of sentimental old band T-shirts from gigs I went to growing up, merch that reminds me of specific times and places.

And the most recent addition? A Longines “HydroConquest” watch with the new strap designed by [Australian Indigenous artist] Otis Carey. There’s an expressiveness to the collaboration that’s rare in timepieces. I’m looking forward to pairing it with everything in my wardrobe and finding new alchemies.

What would you wear … on a first date? Something put together but not stiff, like a linen button-up shirt with a well-cut pair of pants.
… on a plane? A cashmere tracksuit.
… on the red carpet? I like to have fun and lean into my imagination. I enjoyed the blue velvet Giorgio Armani tuxedo I wore to the Met Gala in 2022.

What is your favourite fashion era? Somewhere between the 1960s and the ’70s there was an expressive reaction to the formality of the eras before, right before we went off the deep end in the ’80s. That’s my sweet spot.

Who is your favourite fashion icon? Keanu Reeves has a simplicity to the way he dresses but it’s still expressive. He wears clean lines, well-cut suits with a simple sweater or a T-shirt underneath and well-thought-out accessories, nothing that shouts too loud. The most important accessory of all is him. It’s not what you’re wearing at the end of the day.

Who is your favourite designer? Mr Armani. Every time I meet him, he inspires me in new ways. Your outfits should enable you to shine brightly. When your accessories or clothes shout too loud, they can overshadow you. Armani never does that. The balancing point between form and function, between something classic and forward-looking, is where elegance lives.

What is your fragrance of choice? Armani “Code”.

What are the three essential items in your wardrobe? A watch with multiple time zones is always helpful because I travel so much, a Santoni loafer and a pair of well-cut trousers, something elevated but comfortable.

One of my favourite things to do at work is digging into the era that the characters are living in and how they expressed themselves through fashion.

Any go-to jewellery? I like to wear something around my neck, and the metal I choose depends on the timepiece I’m wearing. It’s about harmonising, like building chords in music.

Can you remember a favourite outfit from when you were a child? I was very proud of a T-shirt that changed colour in the sun.

What was your first fashion moment? The biggest one was attending the Met Gala in 2022. That was about finding classic looks and making something new. I loved the historical research aspect, and I was proud of what we put together. One of my favourite things to do at work is digging into the era that the characters are living in and finding out how they expressed themselves through fashion.

And your worst fashion mistake? I don’t believe in fashion mistakes, only happy accidents and learning opportunities.

What’s at the top of your wish list? I like to stumble upon things, I don’t have a checklist. I’ll know when I see it.

Is there anything you would never wear? Never say never. It’s a challenge.

Is there a current trend you like? I’m not a trend follower. My fashion inspiration comes from walking down the street and seeing how people dress and how they work with their environment and the climate. How fashion enables our lives is what I find most interesting.

What shoes do you wear the most often? Common Projects sneakers.

What do you wear on a typical working day? From the red carpet to working from home and everything in between, I enjoy that fashion has led to comfort. Everything you wear should be about feeling expressive enough to unleash yourself on the world.

What’s your favourite off-duty, casual Sunday look? I’ll be back in the cashmere tracksuit.
