‘Dangerous precedent’: Biden lashes Trump immunity ruling
Washington | The US Supreme Court ruled Donald Trump has broad immunity from criminal prosecution for actions taken in office as president, dealing a major blow to his trial on charges of interference at the last election.
In a powerful statement, the court decided presidents are shielded for official actions, but can be prosecuted for private acts. The six conservative justices were in the majority, while its three liberal members dissented.
