Relief in Ukraine as US House approves $95b in aid
Kyiv | Ukrainian officials expressed gratitude and relief on Saturday (Sunday AEST) after the US House of Representatives approved $US60.8 billion ($95 billion) in aid to the war-torn country, overcoming months of intense Republican opposition to fund urgently needed weapons for the country’s military.
“The vital US aid bill passed today by the House will keep the war from expanding, save thousands and thousands of lives, and help both of our nations to become stronger,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on X.
