The second Trump presidency may just be an aberration in the history of US democracy from its independence in 1776 to now and into the future, provided democratic principles and institutions are sufficiently deeply embedded.
In which case, the mimicking of Vladimir Putin’s propaganda about Ukraine (despite its history of oppressive Soviet rule) and the misinformation that Ukraine initiated the current conflict would be overcome by the response of European and other democracies supporting Ukraine.
