Trump taps Musk to head bureaucracy-slashing ‘Manhattan Project’

Washington | Donald Trump has tapped billionaire Elon Musk for a new role aimed at slashing US government spending, handing even more influence to the world’s richest man.
In a widely anticipated appointment, the head of Tesla, SpaceX and social media platform X was named along with Republican primaries candidate Vivek Ramaswamy to co-lead the specially created US Department of Government Efficiency.
