Quad on shaky ground as US election nears
Alliance leaders including Anthony Albanese insist the security dialogue will survive once Joe Biden leaves office, but the weekend’s outcomes suggest otherwise.
Matthew CranstonUnited States correspondentClaymont, Delaware | Prime Minister Anthony Albanese travelled 16,000 kilometres to US President Joe Biden’s old school hall in Delaware to try and keep alive the tenuous quadrilateral security dialogues.
Along with Biden, he was joined by leaders of the other member countries, Japan and India, who stopped in on their way to the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
