Oil spill spreads after deadly storm

Washington | A private dive team was sent to find the source of a suspected oil spill spotted in the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday, after Hurricane Ida wreaked havoc in the region this week.
US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration satellite images showed a miles-long brownish-black slick spreading in coastal waters about 3 kilometres off Port Fourchon, Louisiana, an oil and gas hub.
