Scott Morrison has congratulated Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and said his government was looking forward to working with the new Democratic administration on issues including climate change, regional security and suppressing the coronavirus.
He also invited Mr Biden to Australia next year to mark the 70th anniversary of the ANZUS treaty.
