Wilmington, Delaware | When Judge Eric Davis walked into his courtroom at 9am on Tuesday (11pm AEST), there was a sense that a multimillion-dollar settlement between Fox and voting machine maker Dominion was still in the wings.

The 12-person jury had been decided for the landmark defamation trial set to start, and the courtroom was jam-packed. Both Fox and Dominion Voting Systems had been instructed to give opening statements.
