China warns Australia over ‘irresponsible’ navy incident

Washington | Beijing has urged Australia against making “reckless and irresponsible accusations against China” after Canberra said sonar pulses emitted by a Chinese warship injured its navy diver in international waters.
China’s defence ministry said Australia’s recounting of the incident in the East China Sea last week was inconsistent with the facts and Beijing had lodged a complaint to Canberra.
