Washington | Democrat challenger Joe Biden enters the final 48 hours of the 2020 presidential race with a narrow lead, as markets brace for more turmoil after their worst week since March and new coronavirus cases in the US topped 100,000.

As Donald Trump scrambles against the clock to pull off another come-from-behind win, a final round of polls showed Mr Biden entering the home straight holding slender leads in the most critical battleground states.
