Washington | The Biden administration has all but approved the only major lithium project in the United States owned by Australia’s Ioneer, in the election battleground state of Nevada, less than 50 days before the poll.

The Bureau of Land Management has published Ioneer’s Rhyolite Ridge Lithium-Boron project’s final environmental impact study – a crucial step towards final approval. There had been challenges over endangered species at the site.
