Claymont, Delaware | Australia’s critical mineral exporters are closer to winning US subsidies following Quad leaders’ talks on the weekend, as allies step up co-ordinated efforts to counter China’s dominance of a sector crucial for the green energy transition.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese pressed US President Joe Biden on the need to classify Australia’s critical minerals as “American made” to win favourable treatment, during their talks on the sidelines of the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue in Delaware.
